Modified Mustangs:

Do you ever wonder if you should put your Mustang in the Modified Class or in your year class? The following are some guidelines that may help you decide. We recommend if your Mustang has three or more significant and visible items on the below list, your car should be registered in KMC's Modified Class.

Paint  -  Obvious custom paint jobs,  including murals (i.e. flames, graphics, stripes, etc.)

Body Work  -  Addition of flares, spoilers, air dams, hood scoops (non-stock), ground effects, etc. (Note: a complete body kit, such as a Saleen kit, which includes front and rear spoilers and side skirts will put that Mustang automatically into the modified class.)

Under the Hood  -  Chrome dress up kits, plating or powder coating of parts, special wiring harness, non-stock oil coolers, non-stock superchargers/turbochargers,

Wheels/Tires  -  Aftermarket wheels or tires larger than stock.

Chrome  -  Blocked out with color or black trim treatment or removed and panels filled. 

Interior  -  custom or aftermarket seats, custom upholstery work, custom steering wheel or console, gear shifter changed, additional (non-stock) tachometer or other gauges, roll bars or related safety equipment.

Note: This modification list is presented to "Level the Playing Field" for all involved and is for guidance only. Everyone at one point or another will make a few modifications to their Mustang and there is nothing wrong with that. But it is difficult to fairly judge a bone stock 2000 V-6 coupe against a 2000 GT with a Saleen Body Kit, Billet Interior, Deep Dish Aftermarket rims, and a supercharger (or vise versa) in the same class, and we just want to make this show enjoyable for everyone. If you have to seriously question whether your car is modified or not, it probably is.
